MaxEmail - a Real Talk Post -" I saw your post about the link to the eFaxing services. I was surprised to see that MaxEmail is not in the top three (they're in alphabetical order - Gary :-) as it's been highly recommended many times on RT and the list serves.

I've used it for over two years now and love it. There are no proprietary programs to download (like with eFax) and there is no extra charge for a local number. The faxes come in as a .pdf document, so I've never had a problem with a client opening up a file. (eFax has a tif file as their default program and I've had clients who can't open a photo file on their office computers.) The faxes are sent instantaneously -- I fax to myself all the time. With other companies I have heard there is often a lag time of up to several hours, which can be disastrous in our business!

I pay them $84 a YEAR for their upgraded service, which allows me to save my faxes on their servers for one year instead of something like 30 days.

They allow you to receive up to 250 faxes a month at that price and their overage charge is minimal -- I've only exceeded it once or twice. As a matter of fact, they just upgraded to give us a rollover on our service so that any "unused" fax pages in a month can be rolled over to the next month.

In short, I can't think of a single shortcoming with this service!"
